Ways to Tune
|
Electronic Tuner with Built-in Mic Play each string and adjust until the dial stays in the middle and the green light comes on. Good in a quiet environment but noises can confuse it. |

Pitch Pipes When you blow into each pipeyou get the pitch of each guitar string (theoretically).As you blow, adjust your strings until the pitches match

Clip on Tuners These operate in a similar way to the tuner with the mic, but clip on to the head of the guitar and sense vibrations transmitted through the neck. These are pretty good as you don't need to be in a quiet room for them to work. |

Using Your Ears Listening to me plucking each string and comparing the sound of your guitar strings as you adjust the tuning pegs. You can use the tuning video or simply listen to the audio version. Good from the point of view that you get to use your ears which will help you develop a sense of pitch. Don't rush this! |
